  • Salary range $188,297 - $256,088 plus 12% superannuation – VPS Grade 7
  • Based in Melbourne CBD, with hybrid working arrangements

The opportunity  

The Program Director is responsible for leading the State Revenue Office (SRO)'s Transformation Program (Program) and is a member of the Business Technology Services (BTS) Senior Management Team (SMT).

The role is responsible for delivering the Program within the tolerances approved by the IT Steering Committee and ensuring the overall success of the Program.

The role will engage a broad range of senior stakeholders and represent the SRO at external forums, at various conferences, and in engaging with other government agencies or departments.

Reporting to the Executive Director, Business Technology Services, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing, planning, directing and co-ordinating activities to oversee and implement the Program from initiation to final transition into operational, business-as-usual management.
  • Developing comprehensive program plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, and monitoring and controlling program progress, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and deliverables.​
  • Defining, documenting and successfully completing complex projects.
  • Building long-term, strategic relationships with senior stakeholders (internal and external); and facilitate the engagement of stakeholders in support of the delivery of services and change projects.

 

Who we are looking for

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and proven success in people management.
  • Demonstrated experience in the successful delivery of large-scale change across people, process and technology.
  • A proven record of guiding others through the strategic planning process; creating a shared vision for the future and demonstrating a good understanding of external and internal issues that influence the strategic direction of transformational projects.
  • A Bachelor or equivalent university degree and/or program, project and technical qualifications relevant to the role will be highly regarded.
